The hard work and teamwork that is needed in military service is a big part of what has made America successful. We see this in our own families who have served as well employees, friends, customers and companies that we work with regularly. To all those who have served and are currently serving – Thank You!
Originally honored at the end of WWI the day was “Armistice Day” which was the truce between Germany and the Allies. The ceasefire went into effect on Nov 11th at 11am in 1918. Then Congress in 1926 adopted the recognition of service. In 1954 the name of the day was changed from Armistice Day to “Veterans Day” by president Eisenhower and Congress.
Thanks to all who have given and continue to give so much in their service. Hoping everyone enjoys their time with friends and family on Veterans Day Nov 11th, 2014.
